Helloween Concerts Setlist

Formed in Hamburg, Germany, Helloween is a power metal band founded in 84. The band is very renowned for their influence on European heavy metal. With 16 studio albums and numerous awards, they're considered pioneers of power metal alongside Grave Digger and others in the early German scene. Even through some struggles and some harsh lineup changes, the group remains a force in the realm of heavy metal.

The group's original members are Kai Hansen, Michael Weikath, Markus Grosskopf, and Ingo Schwichtenberg. The band debuted with a more death metal style.

In 1986-1987, Helloween brought Michael Kiske as a vocalist, Kiske was a former member of Ill Prophecy. It happened after a persuasive encounter with guitarist Michael Weikath. Despite initial label rejections for a double-LP release, the band forged ahead and produced Keeper of the Seven Keys: Part I, released in 87. The album, predominantly crafted by Kai Hansen due to Weikath's illness, marked a significant chapter in the band's discography.

Helloween hit a significant milestone in 88, performing at the Monsters of Rock gig, which at that time, was something extremely huge and important for bands to perform and festivals. Helloween performed alongside Iron Maiden and Guns N' Roses with a crowd of over 100k people. The band even shared the stage with Iron Maiden during select dates on the Seventh Tour of a Seventh Tour in Europe. However, tensions with their label surged over payment disagreements.

In 94, Helloween introduced Andi Deris, a former member of Pink Cream 69, as their new lead vocalist and Uli Kusch, former Gamma Ray, on drums. This lineup change was set as a "new beginning", or a moment for "new horizons" for Helloween, which also eventually, led to the released of the acclaimed album, "Master of the Rings," under a new record deal.

In 2000, Helloween delved into a more experimental direction with "The Dark Ride," characterized by downtuned guitars. Following the album tour, the band parted ways with Roland Grapow and Uli Kusch. The reason was the other member's concerns about their commitment, with suspicions of their focus on the side-project Masterplan affecting their dedication to Helloween.

In 2016, former members Kai Hansen and Michael Kiske rejoined the band for the Pumpkins United World Tour. The reunion tour started from 2017 in Monterrey, Mexico. The decision to reunite stemmed from a conversation between Hansen and Kiske, where the sentiment of not letting the opportunity slip away prevailed. Despite past tensions, fortunately, the band members reconciled.

At that time, Kiske's change of heart was influenced by a meeting with Michael Weikath during a gig in 2013. While Hansen and Kiske returned to the fold, former members Roland Grapow and Uli Kusch were not part of the reunion plans. The band felt that including everyone would complicate matters.

More recently, Helloween signed with a new major record label for their album release of 2025.
