Ninho Biography

William Nzobazola, better known by his stage name Ninho, is a French rapper, singer, and songwriter. He was born on April 2, 1996 in Longjumeau, France. Ninho grew up in a Southern suburb of Paris in an African immigrant family. There, American hip hop culture was very popular at the time. His biggest early influence was trap music from Atlanta, Georgia, produced by such artists as T.I., Gucci Mane, or Young Thug.

Ninho started rapping at age 12. He produced his first mixtape in 2013, with the title “Ils sont pas au courant Vol. 1” (meaning “They Are Not Aware Vol.1” in English). He put out two more tapes before he reached mainstream success in France. In October 2016, he released his fourth mixtape “M.I.L.S (Maintenant ils le savent)”, (“Now They Know It”), which ended up selling over 100,000 copies in his home country and peaked at the #11 spot on the SNEP chart.

His debut studio album came out in September 2017, with the title “Comme prévu” (“As Expected”). It became a massive hit, topping the charts in France, and also peaking at the #2 spot in Belgium. Ninho has released two more albums since. The best selling one among them is “Destin” (“Destiny”) from March 2019, which sold over 510,000 copies. Meanwhile, his latest record came out in December 2021, with the title “Jefe”. He was rumored to have American hip hop superstar Cardi B featured on one of his tracks on his latest record, but, alas, she had to pull out of the project due to her pregnancy.

Ninho’s biggest hits to date are “Dis-moi que tu m'aimes” (“Tell Me You Love Me”, 2016), “Mamacita” (2017), “Maman ne le sait pa” (“Mom Doesn’t Know It", 2019) featuring Niska, and “Tout en Gucci” (“All in Gucci”, 2020). He was also featured on the 2018 hit hip hop single by Rim'K, “Air Max”, and on the 2020 hit by Naps “6:3”.
