Banda Machos Biography
Hailing from Villa Corona, Mexico, Banda Machos is a technobanda, very famous within the quebradita and regional Mexican music communities. Banda Machos are well known for their very particular style, including satirical lyrics, and some, with some even having sexual innuendos. The band has been together for over 30 years and altogether they've recorded 29 albums.
Formed in the 90s, more specifically, in 1990, Banda Machos released their debut album called "Serian Las Dos," in 1991. Later, their second album "Casimira," came in 1992, only one year later after the debut of their first album. But the real success came with "Sangre De Indio," peaking at number 16 on the Mexican regional chart.
Some of Banda Machos' other popular songs like "Gracias Mujer" came around that time as well, in 1994. During the 90s, lead singer Raúl Ortega left Banda Machos to start Banda Arre but returned in 2000-01, releasing "La Reunión" and "A Prueba De Balas" before leaving again.
In 2002, Banda Machos released a self-titled album with Eric Perez and Julio César Guerrero, which was once again, a huge success. In 2003, they even honored Pedro Infante with "El Cantante Del Siglo Y La Reina De Las Bandas," which was something very unique and important for Pedro Infante's fans.
In 2012, former member Pepe Guardado created Banda Mach, leading to a lawsuit that Banda Machos won in 2020.
