Caravan Palace Concerts Setlist

Caravan Palace is a French electro-swing band. They were founded in 2006 in Paris, France. The founding members were vocalist and guitarist Arnaud "Vial" de Bosredon, vocalist and violinist Hugues Payen, and vocalist and bassist Charles Delaporte.

The three musicians were originally hired to score an adult silent movie (one of the stranger origins for any band out there…). However, producer Loïc Barrouk took a liking to their music and got them a series of gigs, as well as studio time to make their own demos. The band quickly found success online. They spent a couple of years touring, with the addition of four more musicians for the live Caravan Palace concert line-up, before releasing their debut album. The self-titled “Caravan Palace” came out in October 2008. It ended up selling over 150,000 copies worldwide.

The band followed it up with their sophomore album “Panic” in March 2012. Their third record, “<|°_°|>” (pronounced as “Robot” or “Robot face” by their fans) is their highest-charting one in the US so far, reaching the #3 spot on Billboard’s genre-specific Dance/Electronic albums chart. However, in their home country of France, their debut album from 2008 remains the biggest hit.

The record “Chronologic” by Caravan Palace was released in August 2019. Meanwhile, the latest new Caravan Palace album is slated to come out in March 2024, with the title “Gangbusters Melody Club”.

The biggest hits in the Caravan Palace setlist to date are “Rock It For Me” (2012), “Wonderland” (2016), “Russian” (also 2016), and “Lone Digger” (2019). The band’s current line-up is made up of two of the three founders, vocalist-guitarist de Bosredon and vocalist-bassist Delaporte; as well as vocalist Zoé Colotis (whose stage name is the Latin name for a species of butterfly, by the way), keyboardist and percussionist Paul-Marie Barbier, saxophone and clarinet player Lucas Saint-Cricq, trombone player Martin Berlugue, and dancer Odd Sweet.
