Damso Concerts Setlist

Born in Kinshasa, DR Congo, but raised in Brussels, Belgium, William Kalubi Mwamba, also known by his stage name, Damso, is a rapper renowned in France. All of Damso's albums have achieved at least platinum certification. Relocated to Belgium at a young age due to conflict, the rapper's upbringing was marked by parental pressure to pursue academics over rap music, causing problems as his dedication to music clashed with familial expectations.

Despite being pushed towards studies, Damso's passion for rap led him to academic struggles and eventual expulsion from home. Struggling day by day, he turned to unconventional means of support.

Damso jumped on his rap journey in 2006, starting by performing at local and small events, later forming a rap group/collective with close childhood friend. The group expanded to include other friends. In 2014, he released his first solo project, "Salle d'attente."

His breakthrough came in 2015, almost 10 years after he started his journey in the music universe. With the track "Poseidon," led to a signing with Universal Music. After that, the rapper achieved success in France, with all his albums reaching at least platinum certification. His debut album "Batterie Faible" released one year later, sold over 300k copies.

The follow-up, "Ipséité," released in 2017, attained triple platinum status in less than six months and is now certified diamond with over 900k sales. His third album, "Lithopedion," incredibly reached platinum within a week of its release in 2018 and is also certified diamond with over 500k units sold. In 2020, his album "QALF" achieved diamond certification with over 500k units sold, elevating Damso's spot in the rap game.
