Emre Aydın Concerts Setlist

Born in Isparta, Turkey, Emre Aydın is a rock star very famous in Turkey and Europe. Emre initially played saz before transitioning to guitar. He completed his high school education. Despite not attending a music conservatory to maintain his passion for music, Emre shared in a 2009 interview.

During his time at Dokuz Eylül University in 2002, Emre Aydın came across an advertisement for the musical competition "Sing Your Song" on Show TV. Partnering with his friend Onur Ela, they submitted Emre's original song "Dönersen (If you come back)" to the competition. Despite facing over 1000 entries, they emerged and ended up winning. Universal Music recognized their unique and very special talent and included their song in a compilation album.

6. Cadde, initially EQ, was formed in 99 in Izmir by Emre Aydin and university peers. After winning "Sing Your Song," they released their first album in 2003. The single "Sabuha" was a unique take on an arabesk classic. Following their record label's closure, Onur Ela departed, prompting Emre's solo endeavor.

After the disbandment of 6. Cadde, Emre went through struggles upon his return to Izmir, which inspired the songs for his debut solo album "Afili Yalnızlık" released in 2006. Working with GRGDN, the album featured collaborations with other Turkish musicians like Cem Bahtiyar, İllker Baliç, and others. The album's title track received a music video directed by Yon Thomas, known for his work with renowned artists.

In November 2008, Emre Aydin won the MTV Europe Music Awards as Europe's Favourite Act, prompting plans for an English single in 2009 and his second Turkish album set for release on that same year.

A fun fact about Emre Aydın is that in 2016, he married his longtime girlfriend, Eda Köksal, an interior architect.
