Gazo Biography
Gazo is a French rapper of Guinean descent who was born in Châteauroux. He grew up in Belleville and the Roquette neighborhood of Paris. He is a cousin of fellow rapper MHD. Gazo was put into an education home at the age of 11. He left school after the sixth grade and went to live between Saint-Denis and the streets.
He began rapping under the name Bramsou before changing it to Gazo, a nickname for people who are reliable in the neighborhood. He began to gain fame after releasing a series of freestyles under the name "Drill FR." This gained him fame, and he became the first artist to be signed to Epic Records France, whose other signed artists include Drake and Travis Scott.
His mixtape "Drill FR" was released in February 2021 and became number one on the French Albums Chart. His single "Haine&Sex" became number 2 on the French Singles Chart and later became diamond-certified. He is best known as the Prince of French Drill. He is credited with creating an identifiable sound for French drill. He took drill from the UK and US to create a sound that is uniquely his own.
