Jay Wheeler Concerts Setlist

Born in Salinas, Puerto Rico, Jay Wheeler is a singer who got really famous in 2016, when a video of him singing went extremely viral throughout social media. The video made Jay want to pursue a music career, and two years later he signed with a major record label and released his debut album "Platónico." In 2020, his album "Platónicos," had a hit single in it, the song called "La Curiosidad" with Myke Towers.

The Latino music star was born to a working-class family. Even though his success came later, he developed an interest in music at an early age, through singing at his local church and learning to play the piano. During his teenage years, Jay stopped singing due to bullying at school and instead focused on music production. At 16, after a breakup, he wrote and recorded the song "Ahora Estoy Mejor." Encouraged by a friend, he posted it online.

After the song went viral, Jay played the game in a very smart way. He used his social media fanbase that he got from the video and leveraged it to impulse his music career. Jay earned the nickname of "La Voz Favorita," or "The Favorite Voice," in English.

In 2018, a video of Wheeler moved to tears on stage, witnessing fans singing his songs, went viral and attracted the attention of DJ Nelson, who offered to mentor him.

DJ Nelson told Jay he had a clear vision for him as an artist and offered to executively produce his debut studio album, "Platónico," which included the successful remix of "Otra Noche Más" with Farruko. Soon after, Jay began working on his second album, "Platónicos," also produced by DJ Nelson and released in 2020.

As of today, Jay Wheeler has released seven studio albums, with three of them coming out in 2022, showcasing his significant rise in the music industry, especially within the Latino community.
