MC Hariel Concerts Setlist

Born in São Paulo, Brazil, MC Hariel, whose real name is Hariel Denaro Ribeiro, is one of the most prominent artists in the Brazilian funk genre (originally known as funk carioca in Rio de Janeiro but later adapted to each part of Brazil) and known for bringing new horizons to the genre, with an innovative flow of mixing rap music with Brazilian funk. Despite his young age, MC Hariel is very well respected within the community and is one of the fastest-growing artists in Brazil.

MC Hariel began his career at a young age; he was influenced by his father, who was also a musician and started recording songs while working at other jobs. MC Hariel's breakthrough came in 2014; his song "Passei Sorrindo" gained popularity first on YouTube, and it was produced by the producer KondZilla, one of the biggest producers of the funk genre in Brazil.

MC Hariel's lyrics were very provocative and suggestive, which made him considered very smart and creative when writing songs. The funk artist gained even more national recognition with the song "Lei do Retorno," featuring MC Don Juan. Other important projects he was part of were with GAAB, son of Rodriguinho, a well-known singer and composer from Brazil. "Melhor Viagem" and "Tem Café" were two songs that MC Hariel and GAAB worked together.

By 2019, MC Hariel's "Haridade," was one of the most-streamed songs on Brazilian Spotify and it was followed by his debut album, "Chora Agora, Ri Depois," released in 2020.

In 2020, working together with the Brazilian world-class DJ, Alok, and other prominent rappers from São Paulo, like MC Davi and MC Ryan SP, the group created the song "Ilusão (Cracolândia)," which is considered to be one of their most important songs, talking about the drug problem in Brazil. MC Hariel also wrote very sensitive lyrics in other songs and projects, calling out politicians and protesting against the mainstream media in the song "Monstro Invisível."
