Patrick Benguigui, also known by his stage name, Patrick Bruel is a singer with many other talents, such as poker. Patrick came from a poor family and during his early years, he lived in the staff accommodation of a girls' school in Argenteuil, where his mother was a teacher. Patrick wanted to be a football player but quickly found his love and interest in music while listening to Michel Sardou.
Patrick debuted as an actor in 79, in the movie "Le Coup de Sirocco." He then took part in many other projects, television programs, and so on. His first single, named "Vide," was released in 82, and despite the efforts, the song wasn't very successful. By 2003, Patrick decided to change his artistic name to Bruel-Benguigui.
In 2002, Patrick released the album "Entre Deux," which this time, was very successful. The album sold over two million copies and made Patrick one of the highest-paid singers in France that year. Due to the 2004 South Asian tsunami, he co-wrote "Et puis la terre" with Marie-Florence Gros to benefit the Red Cross.
