From the rough streets of Corbeil-Essonnes came two brothers who'd flip French rap on its head. Tarik and Nabil Andrieu (better known as Ademo and N.O.S) aren't your typical success story - they climbed out of some seriously tough circumstances to create PNL, a group that would change the game. Critics call PNL's soundcloud rap, but it's more than that. It's raw emotion wrapped in hypnotic beats, street poetry floating through a dream. This is their background: a Corsican father doing time for a bank heist, an absent Algerian mother, and two kids trying to figure life out in the projects.

Before they became PNL, both brothers were just trying to survive - Tarik even landed in jail twice for slinging drugs. But sometimes the hardest paths lead to the most interesting places. They each tried their hand at solo stuff (Tarik dropped "Le Son des Halls" while Nabil put out "Calmement"), but magic really struck when they joined forces in 2014. Fresh out of prison, Ademo linked up with his brother, and PNL was born.

Their first album "Le Monde Chico" hit like a ton of bricks in 2015, moving 200k copies. One track, "Le monde ou rien", became the unofficial soundtrack to French street protests. But that was just the warm-up. "Dans la légende" turned them into European superstars, pushing a million units across the continent. There was just one hiccup - when Coachella came calling in 2017, Ademo's past caught up with him at the US border.

Then 2019 rolled around, and PNL went absolutely huge. "Deux frères" smashed records, selling 100k copies in seven days - nobody in French rap had ever done that before. They made history again by shooting a video on the Eiffel Tower in Paris, launched their own clothing line, and even caught Apple Music's attention. Even with Netflix documenting their tour in 2020 and Ademo's run-in with Paris police that same year, PNL keeps pushing boundaries, turning their struggles into art.
