Zedbazi Concerts Setlist

Zedbazi is an Iranian hip hop group. They were formed in 2002 in Tehran, Iran. The founding members were rappers Saman "Wilson" Rezapour and Mehrad "Mehrad Hidden" Mostofi-Rad.

Wilson and Hidden were high school friends back in Iran. Both of them had prior experience in music, however, not hip hop. They decided to go with the typically American musical genre after Saman's Persian language cover of the hit 2002 Eminem song "Without Me" was well received by their peers. The two of them moved to London, United Kingdom together where they met Sohrab “Sohrab MJ” Mostafavi, an aspiring DJ also from their home country of Iran, who joined their hip hop group. The three of them made a Persian cover of the D-12 song from 2002 again, “Rap Game”. The name of the band, “Zedbazi”, consists of the isolated pronunciation of the letter Z (zed) for the first part, which stands for “zakhar”, the Persian word for “mate”; while the latter part, “bazi” means “play”.

The first original Zedbazi rap song came out in April 2011, with the title “Tehran Maale Mane”. Their debut album, “Zakhar Nameh”, was released in June 2012. At this point, their line-up was expanded by the addition of Alireza JJ and Sijal - the two newest members, Behzad Leito and Sepahr Khalse were only announced in 2022. Meanwhile, the latest new Zedbazi album, the self-titled “Zedbazi”, came out in April 2019. The band was on a hiatus between 2014 and 2018, during which time the members focused on their individual projects.

The biggest hits in Zedbazi setlist to date are “Cigare Soorati” (2012), “Chera Badi" (also 2012) featuring fellow Iranian rapper Hichkas, "Tabestoon Kootahe” (2013), and “Bache Mahal” (2020).
