Blankass Biography
Blankass is a rock band from the French region of Indre. The band was formed in 1990 by brothers Johan and Guillaume Ledoux. The band’s debut album was released in 1996 after extensive touring. The second album, "L’Ère de rien," was released in 1998. The album was composed and recorded in the recording studio and mixed in Wales.
The album was a commercial success as it sold more than 50,000 copies within a short period. The band went on tour and performed 20 shows in France that year. One of the shows was at the Bataclan in Paris. Between 1995 and 2003, the band was considered the most important rock band in France.
The band has also been at the forefront of various humanitarian activities. The band supports the Free Tibet movement and the rights of irregular migrants. The band released its first "Best Of" album in 2014. The album was titled "Je me souviens de tout." The band was back in the music scene in 2020 with "C’est quoi ton nom?" and "Si possible heureux" in 2023. The album features duets with Stephan Eicher, Gauvain Sers, and Vianney.
