Formed in Poway, California, blink-182, is one of the most influential rock bands of the early 2000s, and it's considered to be responsible for influencing and starting a new wave of pop rock bands from that time on. Blink has a very unique style, often described as pop-punk or skate-punk, the band brings something very different and creative to the table.
Right now, the main group we know has Mark Hoppus singing and playing bass, Tom DeLonge playing guitar and singing, and Travis Barker on drums. Blink came from a skate-punk scene in a neighborhood of Southern California. They got famous for their lively gigs and funny jokes in their songs.
By 96, Blink started getting a lot of attention from big music companies. Interscope, MCA, and Epitaph all wanted to sign them. MCA said the group could do whatever they wanted with their music, so the band chose to sign with them.
As the 2000s began, Blink started to start their way through success with their third album, "Enema of the State." The album sold over fifteen million copies globally. Songs like "What's My Age Again?", "All the Small Things" and "Adam's Song" were played a lot on the radio, and with the growth of the music channel MTV, their videos were super trendy back in those days.
Fast forward almost 20 years of many struggles and hard work, "One More Time...," released in 2023, hit number one on the Billboard 200 in the U.S. and top five in twelve other countries. Critics said that blink-182 was back to their roots with this album. They toured Australia in February and headlined Lollapalooza in South America in 2024.
As for the boys' inspirations, well, it goes all the way from OG stuff like Ramones and Depeche Mode, to more modern musicians like Machine Gun Kelly and The Cure.
It's actually an album
Haven’t listened to it yet. But what I heard so far it’s amazing.
One more time is also a song on the album
It’s an excellent album! The Blink we were all asking for for a few years!
Thank you. Did you enjoy the album?
Can't believe I just missed their concert here in Australia =(
I was wondering if anyone has been to any of their recent concerts. I want to know if the setlist displayed here is correct or accurate.
I went to their Vegas concert in 2023. The setlist here is pretty accurate. I don't remember the songs played very well because I was kinda drunk, hahaha, but I can confirm it's definitely accurate.
Yes, the setlist here is accurate.
Thanks!!! cant wait for it
