CNCO Biography

American Latin boy band from Miami, CNCO, gained fame by winning the first season of La Banda, a reality show created by Simon Cowell. The boy band toured with heavy-weight artists like Ricky Martin, who was also a producer at the reality show, and achieved huge success with singles like "Tan Fácil." The band consisted of Erick Brian Colón, Christopher Vélez, Zabdiel De Jesús, Richard Camacho, and Joel Pimentel, who all auditioned for La Banda in 2015.

Despite not getting many votes at the beginning, Ricky Martin saw huge potential in the boy band, which eventually formed CNCO in the show's finale. The group's debut single came out in 2016, named "Tan Fácil." The song topped charts all over the United States and led the boy band to perform their first concert in Miami Beach and touring with Ricky Martin's One World Tour.

CNCO's first album, "Primera Cita," was a huge success and led them to a tour in 2017. That same year, CNCO reached the finals of "Artist of the Year, New" at the Billboard Latin Music Awards. While on the road, CNCO started to work and recorded their second album, also collaborating on projects with artists like Enrique Iglesias. The second album, "CNCO," eventually came out one year later, in 2018, and led the band to sign to a new record label.

With their popularity growing all over the place, in 2021, CNCO got MTV VMA nominations, winning Best Quarantine Performance. That same year, the boy band released their third album, "Déjà Vu" which was already delayed at that time. Joel Pimentel left the group, and they continued as a quartet, releasing "Toa La Noche" and collaborating with Alex Rose on "Pa' Que Guaye."

By 2023, CNCO worked on some very innovative projects with the EDM DJ Steve Aoki, but that same year, the group announced their farewell tour, La Ultima Cita, which began in Bolivia, and the final show in Puerto Rico. CNCO's final song "La Ultima Canción" came out in 2023 before they disbanded.
