Edén Muñoz Biography

Born in Mexico and famous within the regional Mexican music genre, Edén Muñoz is a singer and producer. Edén Muñoz moved from Los Mochis to Mazatlán while still young. His interest in music grew when his brother taught him guitar at age eight. By 2006, Edén was already singing and playing guitar at the band Colmillo Norteño, also an important band for the norteño genre.

By 2021, Edén recorded a regional Mexican version of "Creo en ti." With this song, he started his solo career. Edén quickly signed to a record label and became one of the top artists on streaming platforms like Spotify. Edén even surpassed mainstream stars like the rapper Bad Bunny.

One year later, in 2022, Edén Muñoz was featured on Banda MS's "Hay que hacer dinero," which hit number 1 on Monitor Latino's chart. Later that year, Edén Muñoz released "Ni volviendo a nacer" as the lead single from his debut album "Consejos gratis."

Throughout his very successful career, some controversies appeared as well, once Edén Muñoz released the song "Chalino," which was a tribute to singer Chalino Sánchez, killed in 1992. But the song made the Sánchez family upset, and that is because it suggested ties to organized crime in Mexico, which also suggested was the reason Chalino Sánchez got killed. Edén later stated that he didn't mean any disrespect towards the family and the singer and that he had only admiration for Chalino and his work.

By 2024, Edén dropped his third album, "Edén," marking his most experimental work yet.
