Born in the small community of Mechanicsville, USA, Jason Thomas Mraz, also known by his stage name, Jason Mraz, is a singer and guitarist known for his debut album "Waiting for My Rocket to Come" and the hit single "The Remedy (I Won't Worry)". The Diamond-certified single "I'm Yours," is one of Jason's most important songs. His later albums have sold over seven million albums and 11.5 million digital singles. Jason also competed in "Dancing with the Stars" in 2023, finishing second.

Jason had a difficult childhood, after his parents divorced, he lived with his father. During high school, he participated in cheerleading, chorus, and drama. Jason briefly attended a drama school in New York City but left to pursue music. Moving to Richmond, he worked various jobs before heading to San Diego, where he decided to stay and focus on his music career.

After moving to San Diego in 1999, Jason became a roadie for Elgin Park and met Toca Rivera at Java Joe's, a coffee house known for launching the careers of Jewel and Steve Poltz. Performing weekly for nearly three years, Jason built a local and online following. He later published some albums, including "A Jason Mraz Demonstration."

In 2001, Jason signed with a major label and moved to Los Angeles. He opened for Jewel in 2002 and released his debut major label album "Waiting for My Rocket to Come", which peaked at number 55 on the Billboard 200.

In 2005, Jason Mraz released his second album, "Mr. A–Z," which earned Grammy nominations. Jason toured extensively to support the album, opening for Alanis Morissette, The Rolling Stones, and Rob Thomas. In 2006, he performed at the Mosaic Music Festival and various U.S. and international venues.

In 2008, Jason released his third album, "We Sing. We Dance. We Steal Things.", debuting at number 3 on the Billboard 200 and it was a commercial success, topping charts worldwide and earning multi-Platinum certification. At the 2009 Grammy Awards, "I'm Yours" received nominations, and in 2010, Jason won two Grammy Awards for "Make It Mine" and "Lucky" with Colbie Caillat. "I'm Yours" was also ASCAP's 2010 Song of the Year.

Jason's fifth studio album, "Yes!", was released in 2014, and he also appeared in the musical "Waitress" in 2017. His sixth album, "Know.", was released in 2018. Jason later partnered with an event company for a concert film in 2018. In 2019, he featured on Alan Parsons' album "The Secret" and was named the first-ever District Advocate Ambassador to support music creators' rights.

In 2023, the star competed in Dancing With the Stars, and finished in second place.
