Born in 45 and known as as one of the greatest songwriters and singers, John Cameron Fogerty, also known as John Fogerty, is a singer and guitarist, known for being one of the co-founders of the rock band Creedence Clearwater Revival, also known as CCR, together with Doug Clifford, Stu Cook, and his brother Tom. John served as the lead singer of the band and main songwriter, together with the band, they achieved nine top-10 singles and eight gold albums from 1968 to 1972 and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1993. After CCR disbanded, John embarked on a solo career.

John was born in Berkeley, United States, but grew up in El Cerrito. While in school, John met some friends who would later turn into band members together with him. John formed a band called the Blue Velvets with Stu Cook and Doug Clifford, later joined by his brother Tom. After the band secured a record deal, Blue Velvets changed their name to The Golliwogs, which later became Creedence Clearwater Revival in 68.

Reaching the end of CCR, John decided to go solo under the name The Blue Ridge Rangers. His first album was released in 73 and had country covers. Later then, John decided to drop the Blue Ridge Rangers name, and by 75 released his first official solo album.

By 86, John released "Eye of the Zombie," which was less successful and marked a darker tone. John avoided playing its songs live for over 20 years, though he revisited "Change in the Weather" in 2009. His career has been marked by a commitment to his musical vision and overcoming legal challenges.

When CCR joined the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 93, John didn't play with his old bandmates due to some legal problems, but instead, he decided to perform with Bruce Springsteen and Robbie Robertson. Bruce Springsteen praised John's songwriting during the event.

By 97, John returned to the music universe releasing "Blue Moon Swamp," which had way more success than "Zombie." One year later, a live album from his previous tour was also released, and in that same year, John got himself a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. By 2005, John's tours increased a lot, including performances with John Mellencamp and Willie Nelson.

By 2021, John addressed social issues with "Weeping in the Promised Land," and by 2023, after a huge and long battle for the rights to the Creedence Clearwater Revival's catalog, John finally won and started to own the rights for the band's catalog.
