Morat Biography
Morat is a Colombian latin pop/rock band formed in Bogotá, the capital city of Colombia. The band consists of Juan Pablo Isaza (guitars and vocals) and Juan Pablo Villamil Cortés (voice, banjo). They are known for their fusion of pop and folk elements. The group member have been acquainted since childhood, having established their camaraderie at the age of five. Subsequently, following their musical training, they collectively decided to form a band. Their musical inclinations draw inspiration from the works of esteemed artists such as Joaquín Sabina, Eric Clapton, and Bacilos.
Morat gained widespread recognition with their chart-topping hit "Como Te Atreves," a song that propelled them to stardom. This track is a testament to their skill in combining catchy melodies with heartfelt storytelling. Another noteworthy composition is "Amor Con Hielo," reinforcing their reputation for creating memorable and emotionally resonant music.
Morat has released several albums that have received critical acclaim and commercial success. Their debut album, "Sobre el Amor y Sus Efectos Secundarios," became a huge hit in countries like Chile, Argentina, Venezuela, and other Latin American countries, earning them widespread recognition.
While Morat primarily focuses on their own music, they have collaborated with various artists throughout their career. One notable collaboration is their track "Besos en Guerra" featuring Venezuelan singer Juanes.
