Known for the boy band One Direction, Niall Horan, from Mullingar, Ireland, is a singer and songwriter. After One Direction went on hiatus in 2016, Niall went solo and started a very successful career. As of 2024, Niall released three albums, which all topped charts in Europe and the U.S. One of his most streamed songs are hit songs like "Slow Hands."
Niall was born in 93 and went through a lot of struggles during his childhood, including the divorce of his parents. Niall taught himself guitar at 11 using YouTube tutorials, after his brother's unused guitar caught his interest. From an early age, many friends saw potential in Niall's voice, so he decided to perform at local events in Ireland. But it was his aunt, who saw the real talent in him and encouraged Niall to go explore the world.
After supporting former X Factor contestant Lloyd Daniels in Dublin, in 2010, Niall also auditioned for "The X Factor." At that time, the young star was only 16 years old. He then joined One Direction with Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson, and Zayn Malik. Even though One Direction finished third, they signed a huge deal with a record label and debuted the single "What Makes You Beautiful," which as of 2024, has over 1.3 billion streams on Spotify.
By 2016, Niall released his debut single "This Town," which marked the start of his solo journey. The song did extremely well in the UK and the U.S. After his debut, Niall toured around the world to promote the album "Flicker."
In 2023, Niall Horan released "Heaven," the lead single from his album "The Show," which debuted at number 4 in Ireland.
