Shéyaa Bin Abraham-Joseph, professionally known as 21 Savage, is a rapper born in London, UK on October 22, 1992, 21 Savage was raised in Atlanta, USA, where he developed his distinctive style and gained prominence as a leading figure in the rap genre. His big project, a joint music release with DJ and producer Metro Boomin called Savage Mode in 2016, reached number 23 on the Billboard 200 chart.

21 Savage garnered widespread attention with the release of his debut solo album, "Issa Album," in 2017. In the same year, his song "Bank Account" made it to number 12 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Also, he teamed up with Metro Boomin and fellow rapper Offset for an album called "Without Warning" in 2017. He also appeared on Post Malone's song "Rockstar" in 2017, which topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart and got two award nominations.

A major controversy arose in 2019 when 21 Savage was arrested by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) on February 3. It came to light that he was actually a British citizen who had entered the U.S. in July 2005 on a visa that expired in 2006. He was released on bond on February 12, pending a deportation hearing, initially set for April 9 but later postponed indefinitely. 21 Savage's legal team claimed he was legally residing in the U.S., and later received his green card.

On December 2, 2022, 21 Savage featured on four songs from Metro Boomin's second album, Heroes & Villains: "Umbrella" with Young Nudy, "Creepin'" with The Weeknd, "Niagara Falls (Foot or 2)" with Travis Scott, and "Walk Em Down (Don't Kill Civilians)" featuring Mustafa. Later, "Creepin'" was released again as the main single from the album on January 27, 2023.
