Famous for the producer tag "Metro Boomin want some more, n*gga," and for producing hits with rappers like 21 Savage and Migos, Metro Boomin is one of the most-streamed DJ and producer of all times and worldwide famous for his very unique style of producing hip-hop, rap, and trap beats. His first successful hit was "Tuesday" in 2014, but what really catapulted in up to the biggest names of the rap industry was the Migos' song "Bad and Boujee." With his songs getting successful from 2017 on, we don't need to mention that Metro is a social media sensation. Before being known as Metro Boomin, the legendary producer, he was known only as Leland Tyler Wayne, born in St. Louis, a city in the state of Missouri, USA. At the age of 13, his mother gave him a laptop with the famous music-making software, FL Studio. Before starting to make hip-hop beats, the young Leland wanted to rap, but he ended up seeing that he had more talent in producing. Metro used to produce five beats a day after school.

Back at that time, Metro proved that he was already a social media genius. He used Twitter to link with rappers who were already established in the rap game, submitting beats. His mother, who was very supportive and had an important role in the success of Metro Boomin, would drive him to Atlanta to meet with the rappers he was linking online.

In 2013, Metro debuted with the mixtape "19 & Boomin," the tape had songs like "Maison Margiela" with rapper Future. One year later, Young Thug announced a collaborative album "Metro Thuggin," but it ended up not getting released. One year later, Metro stepped up and had the role of executive producer in Drake and Future's mixtape "What a Time to Be Alive."

With all the success that Metro was doing, the big releases happened from 2016 on, like "Tunnel Vision," by Kodak Black, "Low Life," by The Weeknd, the already mentioned "Bad and Boujee," and Future's "Mask Off." In 2018, Metro produced more songs for heavy-weight artists like SZA, Lil Wayne and Gucci Mane. In 2019, he had more works with Offset in the album "Father of 4."
