Quavious Keyate Marshall, who also goes by Quavo professionally, is one of the most ubiquitous voices in hip-hop and trap music. He was born on April 2, 1991, in Athens, Georgia, and was discovered as a singer as the frontman of fashion-forward hip hop crew Migos before venturing out into a solo, thriving career. His athletic skill has been a recurring aspect of his public life, as evidenced by his MVP performance in the 2018 NBA All-Star Celebrity Game. He's also dipped his toes into sports business as a member of a minority ownership group of the FCF Glacier Boyz in the Fan Controlled Football League.

Quavo's early life was characterized by both athletic talent and tragedy. His father died when Quavo was five years old, and he lived with his older sister Karasha. While at high-school, he demonstrated tremendous potential as the school's starting quarterback, even becoming the record holder for most completions in a game with 28 in 2009. Though his sports prowess, Quavo dropped out of school a few months before he could graduate, yet returned to pick up his diploma in 2020 – a full eleven years after dropping out.

Quavo and cousin Takeoff began Migos in 2008 with friend Offset in Gwinnett County, Georgia. Initially known as Polo Club, they re-formed and began releasing mixtapes, with their first ones being "Juug Season" (2011) and "No Label" (2012). Their crossover success was established when in 2013 they dropped the street single "Versace," which later became much greater after it was remixed by Drake.

Migos secured their place in hip-hop annals with the album "Culture" (2017), which reached its zenith at number one on the US Billboard 200 chart. Success led to cameos from Quavo on records by several big-name acts outside the group. His credentials as a guest performer include six top ten songs on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, among them Post Malone's diamond-selling "Congratulations," Justin Bieber's "Intentions," and DJ Khaled's top hit "I'm the One."

Takeoff had tragedy in November of 2022, when he was killed and shot by a gunman as he and Quavo stopped by a Houston, Texas bowling alley. The tragedy followed rumors that Migos had broken up earlier this year and followed Quavo and Takeoff moving to form a duo called Unc & Phew, which released the album "Only Built for Infinity Links" in October of 2022.

Quavo has become a vocal anti-gun violence activist since Takeoff's death. He sat down with Vice President Kamala Harris in 2023 to talk about the topic and initiated the Spark Grants program in 2024, which provides funds to groups that are fighting gun violence in Atlanta.

Quavo's 2023 single "Rocket Power," which dropped in Takeoff's memory, showcased his growth as a solo artist while honoring his nephew's memory. Apart from music, Quavo has also tried his hand at acting with guest appearances on TV shows like "Atlanta," "Black-ish," and "Narcos: Mexico," and films like "Savage Salvation" and "Praise This."
