Frederick John Philip Gibson, also known by his stage name, Fred Again.., or Fred Again, is a multi-instrumentalist and DJ born in Balham, an area in south-west London, UK. Fred began his music career at 16 by joining an a cappella group at Brian Eno's London studio. By 2014, he wrote songs with Eno himself and Karl Hyde. Later, he joined the Red Bull Music Academy in Tokyo to expand his music career in the EDM universe.
By 2018, Fred's songs were topping charts in the UK, songs like "Solo," with Clean Bandit and Demi Lovato, and "Let You Love Me," with Rita Ora were super trending all over the internet. A year later, Fred started working with Ed Sheeran on some projects and won Producer of the Year at the 2020 Brit Awards.
In 2022, Fred Again's songs were super popular all over social media platforms, expanding his career. Projects with heavy-weight artists like Swedish House Mafia and participation in events like Boiler Room in London made Fred one of the most prominent DJs of recent times.
By 2023, Fred also released the song "Rumble," together with dubstep giant Skrillex, and MC Flowdan. The song went super viral on TikTok and Instagram Reels and showed the world the unique connection between Skrillex and Fred, and their potential of composing together.
In 2024, Fred was nominated for Best New Artist at the 2024 Grammy Awards, won Best Dance/Electronic Album, and Best Dance/Electronic Recording.
