I Prevail Biography
Formed in a small city in Michigan, called Southfield, I Prevail is a post-hardcore and metalcore band. The band gained fame with a metal cover of Taylor Swift's "Blank Space," which went platinum in the U.S. They released three albums: "Lifelines," "Trauma," and "True Power." Their singles "Breaking Down" and "Hurricane" did well on rock radio, while "Bow Down" and "Trauma" earned Grammy nominations.
I Prevail was formed in 2013 and one year later they released their debut EP "Heart vs. Mind," followed by singles "Love, Lust, and Liars" and "The Enemy." After rhythm guitarist Jordan Berger left, Tony Camposeo and Dylan Bowman joined. The band decided to go on tour, opening for the metalcore band Crown the Empire, Hollywood Undead, and Pop Evil.
In 2016, I Prevail announced their "Strike the Match Tour" with special guests. They revealed their debut album "Lifelines" and released singles "Scars," "Stuck in Your Head," and "Come and Get It." They supported Pierce the Veil on tour and Tony Camposeo left the band. In 2017, they joined the Vans Warped Tour, had a sold-out Australian tour, and announced new touring members Eli Clark and Gabe Helguera. They planned a headline tour with The Word Alive, We Came as Romans, and Escape the Fate, but Brian Burkheiser had to rest due to a vocal cord injury.
In 2024, it was announced that Brian Burkheiser would miss touring until July due to recovering from surgery for Eagle syndrome. In June, I Prevail released "Can U See Me In The Dark?" with Halestorm.
