Sugarland is an American country music duo from Atlanta, Georgia, formed in 2002 by Jennifer Nettles and Kristian Bush, with Kristen Hall as an original member. After Hall left in 2006, Nettles and Bush continued as a duo. They signed with Mercury Nashville Records in 2004, releasing four studio albums, a Christmas album, and a live album by 2010. They had fifteen singles on the Billboard Hot Country Songs charts, including hits like "Want To" and "Settlin'." Their albums are certified platinum or higher. After a hiatus starting in 2012, they reunited in 2017 to release "Bigger."

The band emerged from the folk-rock scene that was gaining popularity in Atlanta. The band's debut album "Twice the Speed of Life" in 2004 ended up reaching No. 2 on the charts and achieving multi-platinum status. Kristen Hall left in 2005, and the group continued as a duo, releasing "Enjoy the Ride" in 2006, which also went multi-platinum. The band also performed with artists like Bon Jovi.

In 2007, Sugarland started to work on "Love on the Inside." The single "All I Want to Do" became their third No. 1 hit, followed by "Already Gone." They toured extensively, winning Grammys for Best Country Song and Performance. In 2009, they ended Brooks & Dunn's nine-year run by winning the ACM Vocal Duo of the Year. They toured Europe and joined Keith Urban and Kenny Chesney on tours. Their live DVD/CD "Live on the Inside" and album "Gold and Green" were released in 2009, with multiple albums ranking among the year's top sellers.

Sugarland's "It Happens" was nominated for a Grammy in 2009 but lost to Lady Antebellum. In 2010, they joined "We Are the World: 25 for Haiti" and released "The Incredible Machine." The album was a top seller and by 2011, they launched a radio station and collaborated with Matt Nathanson on "Run."

Jennifer Nettles teamed up with Pepsi Max for a Super Bowl XLVI commercial, singing "Your Cheatin' Heart." Sugarland recorded "Guide You Home" for the movie "Act of Valor" in 2012 and toured with fan-sourced setlists. Nettles had a baby in December 2012, and during her maternity leave, Kristian Bush launched his solo career, releasing "Love or Money." Nettles released her solo album "That Girl" in 2014, followed by "Playing with Fire" in 2016. Bush released his solo album "Southern Gravity" in 2015, featuring the single "Trailer Hitch."

In 2017, Nettles and Bush reunited at the CMA Awards, announcing new music. They released "Still the Same" in December, topping the country iTunes charts. Their album "Bigger," featuring Taylor Swift on "Babe," came out in June 2018. In 2019, they signed with Big Machine Records.
