Brantley Gilbert Biography
Born in 1985 in Georgia, Brantley Gilbert is a country rock singer and songwriter. Picture a Georgia boy who survived a truck wreck at 19 only to become one of country music's most distinctive voices. Brantley is part outlaw country, part rock 'n' roll, and all heart. He started out with Average Joes Entertainment, dropping "Modern Day Prodigal Son" like a calling card to Nashville. But it was his songwriting that first put him on the map. Ever hear Jason Aldean's "Dirt Road Anthem" or "My Kinda Party"? That's Gilbert's pen at work.
He wasn't just writing hits for others though - after joining Valory Music Co., he started stacking up his own number ones, eventually landing 14 songs on the country charts. From "Bottoms Up" to "One Hell of an Amen," his music's always worn its heart on its sleeve. By 2024, he was dropping "Tattoos," bringing in friends like Ashley Cooke and Justin Moore for the project also. Off stage, he's living his own country song - married to Amber Cochran in 2015 (after a detour that included dating Jana Kramer), now raising three kids and standing firm in his faith and beliefs.
From that teenage truck wreck to winning ACM's New Male Artist award in 2013, Gilbert's story proves sometimes the best country songs are the ones you live yourself. Whether he's touring with Five Finger Death Punch or hitting the road with Nickelback, Gilbert shows that country music's got room for a little rock 'n' roll attitude - as long as it comes with a Georgia drawl and an honest heart.
