Born in Sonora, Mexico, Christian Nodal, is a singer popular for his unique style of "mariacheño," bringing to the table elements of mariachi and norteño music. As of 2024, Christian has won six Latin Grammys and many different awards. Christian started his career at the early age of 17 in 2016 when he signed to a major record label. He then quickly debuted the album "Me Dejé Llevar," in 2017. By 2021, his music was already very popular worldwide and his album "Botella Tras Botella" became the first regional Mexican song on the Billboard Hot 100.
Christian's born in a family of musicians, his parents, Cristina Silvia Nodal and Jaime González, were both musicians. His granddad also helped Christian develop his songwriting style. Before signing to a major label at 17, Christian was already writing songs at four and taught himself how to play piano and guitar by the age of thirteen. An interesting fact is that Christian wrote his first song for a crush when he was in middle school.
Before the start of his success in 2017, because of some uploaded videos of him signing, Christian went viral on Facebook. After singing for the record label, he released "Adiós Amor," which became a hit in Mexico and the U.S. Later, the Mexican star also collaborated with David Bisbal on "Probablemente," which also charted well.
By 2018, Christian joined Pepe Aguilar on the Jaripeo Sin Fronteras Tour. One year later, becoming more successful day by day, he released "Ahora," which once again, had some very good results, leading to the "Ahora Tour."
By 2021, Christian Nodal released "Botella Tras Botella" with Gera MX, making him not only the first regional Mexican song on the Billboard Hot 100 but also very important to the Mexican music community. That same year, the young star also recorded "Si Nos Dejan" with Belinda, used as a telenovela theme. One year later, in 2022, his EP "Forajido" came out, followed by "Forajido 2" in 2023, featuring collaborations with TINI.
